JYJ World Wide Concert Performing in Dome "All Set"

JYJ (Jaejoong, Yoochun, Junsu) will be holding their first world wide concert ‘JYJ Worldwide Concert in Seoul’ in Seoul Jamsil Olympic Stadium which would be transformed to a dome with the roof covered.

On the 20th the organizer stated, “JYJ first worldwide concert in Seoul would be covered with a roof to solve the problem about the weather and sound quality which always happen with outdoor performance stages yet at the same time, giving the best stage to the fans in Jamsil Olympic Stadium.”

The stadium would be covered like a dome to maximize the lightning effect as well as the sound quality compared to a open outdoor performance which have these as their weak points.

Despite the cold weather on the day of the event (it’s winter when the concert is going to hold), fans will be able to enjoy the show warmly in the dome.

The dome is being constructed with a new, safer kind of textile fabric (as opposed to traditional steel cables). Jamsil Olympic Stadium is the first domed theater of this magnitude in Korea, even on a global scale few other performance halls have adopted such a unique, lightweight construction method.

C-JeS Entertainment, reports that “No doubt this concert will be the best show ever, featuring the best quality of stage presentation, production, and sound.” The agency goes on to say that it will do its best to “provide audience members with the most unforgettable concert experience of their lives."

The JYJ Worldwide Concert in Seoul will be directed by Jeri Slaughter, a well-known concert producer who has worked with international stars Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez and Christina Aguilera.

Tickets for the concert has been selling fast. At the first-round of pre-sale ticket buying on Interpark website on October 19th, seats were sold out in just 20 minutes. The popularity of the K-pop sensation was proved once again when another batch of 20,000 tickets was also sold out in a second pre-sale ticket buying.

The JYJ Worldwide Concert in Seoul is a two-day event that will be held on November 27th and 28th with a total seating of 100,000 (50,000 for each show).

JYJ World Tour: Los Angeles Showcase Recap + Photos

The third and final stop of the JYJ concert was held in Los Angeles. While an unofficial line stretching nearly an entire block began as early as 9am, the actual event started around 8:30PM. The concert was held at USC’s Galen Center, where Shane Yoon and Arden Cho were MCs. Fans came from as far as China for the last US showcase by JYJ and chanted “JYJ” waving their glow sticks while waiting for the show to begin.
After being introduced by both MCs and a short video, JYJ slowly arose from the stage and began performing “Empty”. As with the other two showcases, they then moved onto “Be The One” and “Be My Girl”. Their singing and dancing easily moved the crowd, causing both excited screaming and awed reverence. After the two songs, there were also short videos of JYJ played on the large screens. The first featured them writing messages to the fans on glass, the second showed the members during rehearsals and preparations for their album.

Following the opening three songs, the MCs returned to begin the Q&A session with the JYJ members.

The interview below is merely a summary and not a complete transcription.
Shane: They hooked me up with this outfit and showed me some dance moves. Next year, are you guys ready for JYJ and SPAM?
Arden: I think Shane’s got a shot. That was pretty good, right? You guys having fun? Let’s give it up for JYJ one more time!
Shane: Man, these clothes are tight! Literally, it’s really tight. I can’t breathe.
Arden: I think Shane needs a diet. Maybe.
Shane: I thought Jaejoong and I were the same size but he’s like-(interrupted by fans). Are you guys calling me fat? (crowd chuckles)
Arden: Alright¸ who’s the biggest JYJ fan here? (crowd screams)
Arden: Well, who’s your favorite JYJ member? (crowd screams)
The MCs call out each name: Yoochun (screams), Jaejoong (screams), Junsu (screams).

“International competition, OK” … JYJ’s Arrival after Overseas Showcase

The three members of JYJ returned to South Korea after finishing their showcase schedule in United States.
JYJ on the 21st at 05:30 am arrived from LA, United States and stepped in Incheon international airport through gate KE 012. The members returned from US showcase tour to commemorate the release of their worldwide debut album ‘The Beginning’.
JYJ held a total 3 showcases in United States. All their performances in New York, Las Vegas, and LA were ended with great success. Originally the showcase would be held as commercial (paid) performance, however due to performance visa denial crisis, JYJ made a bold choice to switch the showcase as free concert in order to keep their promise to fans. In the end, the members still wrapped up successful performance stages. Around 20,000 international fans flocked in the 3 gigs of their global concert.
Not only local Korean fans live abroad who attended the concert but there were also a lot of international fans with blonde hair thus proving the worldwide popularity of the group. In addition, such enthusiastic scene of fans who were not able to grab the tickets yet still flocking the venue area of each concert was captured as well.

JYJ members were spotted walking at the airport arrival hall this morning with bright face. Regardless the long flight they’d experienced, there was no sign of tireness on their expression. Many journalists and fans who greeted them could notice the satisfaction of the showcase that was exposed by the members.
As usual JYJ’s airport fashion distinguished each member’s own personality. Xiah Junsu and Youngwoong Jaejoong wore chic black leather jacket. Meanwhile Micky Yoochun sported brown padding jumper with same color backpack, with such tracksuit appearance his style emphasized comfortable charm.
Meanwhile JYJ will hold 2 days official concert at Jamsil Main Stadium in Seoul on November 27th and 28th.

[Trans] 101116 TVXQ-SM Battle In Court Concerning The Validity Of Their Conctract

TVXQ’s 3 members (Kim Jaejoong-Kim Junsu-Park Yoochun) and SM Entertainment battled fiercely in court over the question of the validity of their exclusive contract.
At the hearing of Civil Case No. 48 (Chief Prosecuting Attorney Lee Lim) at the Seoul District Courts on the 16th, the first date of pleading, the representatives of SM and the trio refused to back down from their stances as they respectively stated, ‘TVXQ’s contract period of 13 years was inevitable for their entrance into foreign markets’ and, ‘The period of the contract was decided upon without the consent of the members.’
SM’s legal representative explained that, “The period of the contract was agreed upon as both sides shared mutual financial purposes and motives,” and “As TVXQ was created with the purpose of targeting foreign markets from the start, the long contract period was an established and agreed upon prerequisite for a stable entry into foreign markets.”
He emphasized that, “If there was a lack of support or an unfair income distribution during TVXQ’s activities, the exclusive contract would be a problem, however, TVXQ has always received the best treatment possible that is far superior to that of other artistes in the industry.”
Also, the representative added, “The trio did not raise a single objection regarding the content of the contract since their debut, until they decided to bring up the problems of the exclusive contract after they clashed with the agency on the issue of the cosmetic company they actively invested in during the months of 2008,” and “They have been neglecting their activities, stating the lawsuit as a reason for their neglect, and because of this, the other members and the agency have been incurring immense damages.”
Regarding this, the trio’s legal representative refuted the previous statements as he said, “The Fair Trade Commission has acknowledged seven years as the maximum length of a contract,” and “TVXQ’s contract was invalid from the start as there have always been unfair clauses within the contract including unfair income distribution, excessive compensation penalties and a contract period that is too long.”
He emphasized that, “We cannot accept SM’s stance and the agency’s claim for compensation when their entire argument is based off an invalid contract,” and “Before we pick at anything else, we must make it clear whether this contract is valid or not.”
(omitted)
The next hearing will be held on December 7th, at 2pm at the Seoul District Courts, and two SM employees will attend as witnesses and testify on what the situation was like when the contract was signed.

[Trans] 101117 JYJ, Visa Denial Changes The Bad Situation ‘Crisis into Opportunities’

U.S. visa application is denied, yet the concert showcases progress normally despite difficult challenges, JYJ chose to keep his promise to share a stage with the fans .

On the past 12th in the morning, group JYJ (Jaejoong, Yoochun, Junsu) got their US performing Visa (P1) denied, hence the normal progress of their showcase wasn’t able to continue. Regarding this matter, many entertainment industry officials threw concern gaze as it would be a burden for the group to step in United States known as world’s largest music market without performing visa.
However, they chose to continue going on stage to keep promise to fans and proceed a drastic transition from a commercial (paid) showcase to free performances showcase. ‘Turns the crisis into oportunity’ was the decision made.
Having a free showcase means expectations didn’t work out as planned and they even wanted to give up during times of crisis. “Yet we considered it as a process of a successful American debut,” stating a resolute decision.
JYJ members reassured the fans, “It does not matter whether the performances is free or paid, what matters is to deliver an unforgettable stage to the fans” the members put the promise, “We will pour all of our passion to the world in the worldwide showcase we prepared for the United States”
Regardless these twists and turns they had to face, the first showcase held at Hammerstein at Manhattan, New York in the evening of the 12th was filled with an explosion of interest from the local fans led the showcase to conduct succesfully. The auditorium which can accommodate a total of 3,000 fans was packed with fans that cheered ‘wonderful JYJ’ to the live performance of Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu.
Starting at 6 am local fans from all over regions already flocked in the eastern United States, resulting on the excess of capacity of more than 7,000 people just before the show, caused them to paralyze the traffic for a while. Seeing from this spectacular incident, it’s easy to measure the extent of popularity of the members in United States.
Following the showcase in New York, on the 14th they headed to Las Vegas where the second showcase was held at Planet Hollywood hotel which also received passionate atmosphere. The auditorium was packed with more than 7,000 fans and prior to the showcase they gathered around the hotel area cried for ‘JYJ’. Las Vegas main street was filled with battle of cheering and cries of fans from across the United States.
Especially for this evening concert, eventhough there were a lot of Korean fans live in United States who attended, yet nearly half of the seats were occupied by foreigners, proving that the worldwide showcase indeed met its target.
After performing, JYJ said their impression “We ever stood on stages, that’s true, but now we come to an attempt to create truly genuine stage of ourselves. Many fans from Asia and United States stood up cheering for us, thus we will create music that expresses our happiness (to them) and sing with our heart.”
This craze for JYJ is also showed in the great interests of United States’ based magazines and local media, who are optimistic about the success of their debut. They wisely turned the worst situation of the visa denial to an assesment into the U.S. music market, paving the way for a successful expansion that will follow. The fans are specially impressed by how JYJ overcame such a moment of crisis with such ‘positive force’.
With New York and Las Vegas performances had been completed, JYJ will hold their final showcase in the coming 19th in Los Angeles, United States. The group’s crisis management skill is getting more compelling right now to face unexpected challenges as blessing in disguise and switch the crisis magically to opportunities.

Cassiopeia - The Journey Never Ends

This turned out quite different from the original only because I wanted to convey the full meaning as opposed to simply giving a literal translation.

These are the sentiments of international fans. You might not ever see this but don't ever forget that we're here.

December 26th. That night the five of you stepped on stage for the first time, you took our breath away with the presence of the Rising Gods of the East.

Barely 18, yet astonishingly graceful.

And from then on we knew. We knew you'd conquer the world with your beautiful red ocean.

He's that boy who fills your heart with an overwhelming warmth. That boy with the face of an angel and a strange air of mystery.

Behind that cold exterior, there's a heart burning with passion. He'll cover his mouth when he's chuckling, yet at the same time, he's not afraid to throw his head back and laugh like there's no tomorrow. Sometimes he can look distant, but more often than not, he's like ray of sunshine on a cold winter day. He's that ray of sunshine who'll warm you up from within, from within the very depths of your soul.

Jaejoong is the boy who'll try his very best to smile for us because we know what he's been through. We know how much he suffered and we realize that it's the reason he's become the person he is.

14 years old. Leaving home, traveling to Seoul alone and working to support himself. It was an endless struggle to put himself through school whilst holding on to his dream to become a singer, an artist.

16 years old. Finally in SM as a trainee after taking part in a competition. From your everyday teenager to a true artist with one of the most beautiful voices.

18 years old. Dong Bang Shin Ki debuts. Pressure like he's never know before. Slightly less popular than the 4 other members and caught up in a drink-driving case. The fear of being removed from the group haunting him incessantly.

But he didn't give up, he moved us with his talent and his sincerity. Thousands of fans gathered to voice their oath - Only five, forever five.

Jaejoong remained, Dong Bang Shin Ki survived unscathed.

In 2006, he found himself stuck in a custody battle. More pressure, more injuries, more suffering. He's endured more than one could ever imagine and he's proven time and time that nothing can get in his way of living his dream.

Thank Jaejoong, thank you for everything you've done for us.

The most skilled dancer with a permanent expression of determination and strength fixed on his face, our leader, Jung Yunho. The core of Dong Bang Shin Ki.

He keeps us all transfixed with his hard hitting dance moves and his irresistible charisma. In every move, he exudes an unbearably strong sense of power and stage presence.

Off stage, in what we would know as normality, he could be the same as the rest of us. Despite the persona he adopts on stage, he is, after all, only human.

He's the leader who'll put both hands in the centre to make up for Yoochun's absence. He's the boy who never forgets anybody, who always remembers that Dong Bang Shin Ki consists of 5.

He's always the first to wake up in the morning and the last to get to bed. Even if it means only one hour of sleep, he'll take on the responsibility to wake up every other member in the morning and to make sure they're all fast asleep at night. Despite the exhaustion, there has never been a single word of complaint.

Yunho is the boy who'll request to have his canines removed just so that they wont' get in the way of singing. He's willing to withstand that degree of pain for us, Cassiopeia. He is the boy who'll bear with a searing stomach ache just so that he won't get in the way of filming. And it wasn't just filming either, because he remained after to thank and bow to every member of staff. Every single one of them. 18 times, the fans counted.

When he was poisoned by an anti-fan, fragile and weak as he was, he appeared before us and said 'Dong Bang Shin Ki has antis because we have our weaknesses. Please don't send her to the police, don't blame it a young high school student for her maturity because I have a sister just like her.' At that moment, I was certain there were others around me shedding tears the same way I was, not just out of sadness, but pride, too. Yunho is the leader we can can all be proud of, for his kind, forgiving heart. Some say he seems fake, but for me, there wasn't a moment of doubt in my mind as I watched him plead forgiveness on behalf of the girl who poisoned him through pale, cracked lips.

Yunho, you are God's gift to Cassiopeia. You are our miracle. Don't ever forget that.

Yoochun, our adorable prince with the dazzling smile. He allows for the coexistence of sunshine and rain. He forced himself to grow up for his brother, Yoohwan. He's kind and affectionate towards his fans, and he makes us cry rivers with his piano solos.

He is one in a million, there are no words that could possibly do this boy justice for the person he is.

Yoochun, he ignites flames in our hearts and pains us to the core with his tears.

1998, he moved to the US with his family. To the country where dreams were meant to come true. They didn't. He was broken and left with some of the most painful memories of his life.

The separation of his parents left him vulnerable, that's why he cries the way he does. He cries when he and his brothers walk on stage to accept awards. He cries so hard, his nose runs and he has to stop talking to pull himself together. And yes, he cries when he talks about his brother and when he's sick in hospital and the members don't visit. He doesn't just cry, he cries his heart out.

And even though there's a certain charm in the strong and manly Yunho, Yoochun stole our hearts with his adorable personality, with the way he's unafraid to show who he is to the world. We love Yoochun because we want to protect him. Those tears, they flow in our blood.

Of course, it's not just the tears, his smiles are equally infectious. His smile is brighter than the Californian sun and his heart of gold shines in ways rivaled by no other.

Remember those smiles and tears Yoochun because we'll always hold them dear to our hearts.

Junsu, our angel. He's like a breath of fresh air. He has the most infectious voice, husky, yet powerful. Every syllable that comes out of his lips burns a hole right through your soul. He's like an angel. You fall for him without knowing it and you fall hard.

With a voice like that, it's hard to imagine how he could possibly have had any problems as a trainee in SM. But no, when his voice broke, it broke for a full 3 years. For an aspiring singer, those 3 years must have been an abyss of darkness and misery. So close to living his dream yet so far away all of a sudden. Can you imagine how he must've felt? His teenage years were a nightmare, he was lost, but he found his way. He survived. 7 years as a trainee and at last he was selected to become a member of Dong Bang Shin Ki and so began his journey to become one of the greatest vocalists of present day.

Junsu, our angel, cute and innocent yet unbelievably determined and strong willed. He passed God's test of perseverance, and as time goes on, his name will remain forever etched in our hearts.

Remember who you were and who you are now. You've got a long way ahead of you.

Maknae Changmin. He transformed from everybody's baby into the fine man he is today in what feels like the blink of an eye.

Despite being snarky and a bully to his brothers, we all know they love each other to death. We all know how much leader sshi values his opinion and his presence.

Almost always put in charge of the high notes and what some see to be 'screaming'. So often he's completely overshadowed by his hyungs, but let's face it, nobody belts those high notes the way Min does. His voice is like no other, Changmin is unique.

He used to be the cutest member of the group, but when Junsu stole the position, he became Changmin the cool, sarcastic maknae. And even though it may seem as though he's less popular than the other members, he has never, ever uttered a word of complaint.

As he stood on stage and watched his pale-faced Jaejoong hyung suffer, he told the world 'The gift I want most this year is for Jaejoong hyung to recover as soon as possible'

He loves Jaejoong, Yunho, Junsu and Yoochun in ways we could never imagine. His love for Dong Bang Shin Ki is whole hearted and unconditional. This is the maknae who said 'If Dong Bang Shin Ki ceases to exist, I'll go back to being a normal high school student.'

Honest, serious and sometimes irritatingly straightforward. Changmin has grown into a real man. He's not just Dong Bang Shin Ki's Choikang Changmin, he's Cassiopeia's Changmin.

Remember that one performance? There were technological difficulties with the sound system and perhaps it was the nerves, but Changmin didn't hear when the staff yelled 'Start again!'. As his 4 hyungs filed off stage, he stood alone in the spotlight, his head bowed, ready for the opening of the song. Even as Cassiopeia screamed at him to make him look up, he kept his head down and held still until someone finally dragged him off stage. The adorable look of embarrassment on his face… I could never forget that.

It was him, it was Changmin who counted all ten triangles in 2 seconds on a variety show.
It was him, it was Changmin whose journal exposed to the world his obsessive love for food.
It was him, it was Changmin who gave us the world's most beautiful name - Cassiopeia.

Constantly overshadowed yet always a source of Cassiopeia's pride. Remember that name, Choikang Changmin. Dong Bang Shin Ki's maknae.

A group of people joined by fate and a shared belief. Cassiopeia, we exist for these 5 Rising Gods of the East. The two are interdependent, together we are legendary.

Korea, Japan, China, the UK, the US, Canada, Egypt, Spain, France - the list is endless. We broke the world record. We came together as one despite our many differences. We embody the spirit of equality, faith and unity. Our love for these boys has broken down all other barriers. We are a family and we live for one another.

Cassiopeia is like a guiding light in a storm of darkness. We're like the flickering flame on a cold windy night. We're like the stars in the sky, seemingly small and insignificant, yet beautiful all the same. We're about protecting our boys, we're about acceptance and toleration. These 5 stars, they shine eternally in the dark of the sky.

Cassiopeia is about strength, we are a force to be reckoned with. We are everything and more because of Dong Bang Shin Ki.

Regardless of the controversy and negativity constantly haunting us, we will always remain united as one. The only thing that could break us is the knowledge of the boys suffering, but even then, we'll be by their side, smiling, cheering them on and awaiting their return. The journey never ends.

JYJ’s P1 Visas Denied for US Performance

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

JYJ’s P1 Visas Denied for US Performance
Members decides to pay for showcase themselves to honor their commitment to their fans in the US
11 November 2010 – JYJ has decided to go ahead and perform for their fans in the US despite being denied of their P1 visas. Cjes Management, the management company for JYJ has stated that it is of utmost importance that JYJ keeps their promise to their fans and they have been in New York since the 9th to await the decision only to be given the disappointing news.
According to US lawyers advising the team on the situation, JYJ will still be able to take stage on the condition that the performance is free and they receive no monetary benefit for the performance. Due to the fact that substantial costs has already been incurred by the promoters for production, flights, accommodations, there will still be a financial responsibility to be fulfilled which JYJ has decided to undertake this upon themselves to make the events happen.
Says Cjes Entertainment CEO, Mr Baek Chang Ju, “We are still awaiting the official reason to why their P1 visas have been denied since the band has followed every procedure required and also did their interviews accordingly. We are extremely puzzled by this matter and will continue investigations into it. For now, JYJ’s primary objective is to make sure that fans are still able to catch the showcase. Hence we have decided to step in on all costs associated with putting on the show to make sure that the events go on as planned.”
All venues have been informed on setting up FAQs on how fans can receive a refund on the tickets they bought. In addition, fans who have paid for a ticket will also receive a ticket to the free showcase. The rest of the tickets will be allocated on a first come first serve basis from Ticketmaster.
The refund process will start at 12pm on the 11th November 2010.

Jaejoong Showed off His Fresh and Beauty Feature, Netizens Commented “Is He a Vampire too?”

Recently on an internet comunity site a ‘fresh’ photo of DBSK and JYJ member Kim Jaejoong (Youngwoong Jaejoong) was published.
A slightly chubby and blonde Jaejoong could be seen. Soft skin just like a baby’s & piercing eyes, Jaejoong looks seems not to change over the years and he looks much the same as he was in the past, so he is compared to a vampire.
Vampire means eternal beauty and you can find other artists who sport the same character, such as 2NE1′s Sandara Park.
Netizens left comments like ‘How can his skin be good like that ’ ‘Feels like he has young and soft cheeks’ ‘How can his skin look so natural…’ ‘Authentic vampire, cool!’.

Park Yoochun: "Acting Is Really Enjoyable" (Upclose Interview with one of JYJ's members Park Yoo Chun )

Park Yoo Chun (24), who successfully debuted as an actor by appearing in the drama “Sungkyunkwan Scandal,” said, “I really enjoyed acting and I feel like acting continuously from now on. I want to have activities both as a singer and an actor.”

His debut was very electrifying. He gained huge popularity not as a member of Asia’s popular idol group JYJ, which consists of three of the former Dong Bang Shin Ki members, but as actor Park Yoo Chun. His debut drama was “Sungkyunkwan Scandal,” and now he can simultaneously chase two goals of singing and acting. He seems to be following after popular singers such as Jeong Ji Hoon (Rain) and Lee Seung Ki, who has been highly acknowledged as an actor as well. The reporter met Park Yoo Chun, who had reportedly been laid up with fatigue for two days after finishing the drama, at the office of JVJ on November 5.

Park came with a fresh appearance after cutting off the long hair that he had grown for the past six months, and he said with a big smile, “Even though I lost almost ten kilograms while filming the drama and I had to be taken to the hospital twice to get an IV, I was really happy while acting.”

Instead of the mature and cold Confucian student Lee Sun Joon, who emphasized courtesy and principles, rookie actor Park Yoo Chun told a long story about himself while maintaining a bright smile on his face. But Park Yoo Chun in his story sounded so dogged and firm, and it seemed that his firm and ceaseless effort during the filming of the drama might be the reason he could gain this fervent popularity at this moment.

Question: The Hanbok fit you nicely. Do you usually wear a Hanbok?

▲ Not at all. I do not wear a Hanbok even during the national holidays. But I felt good because I could fortunately hear that the Hanbok fit me nicely. I did not have any fear about wearing a topknot and Hanbok, rather I felt that it might be better for me to distinguish my new appearance as an actor from my previous appearance as a singer. In the first shoot, I had scenes in which I usually took a walk without any lines simply to hide my inexperienced acting, but people who saw my scenes in the first episode said that I looked just like a classical scholar, so I felt very good. But I actually felt distressed about acting after hearing this good evaluation, saying my appearance looked well-matched to the drama. My mother once paid a sudden visit to the set and she was reportedly so surprised to see my appearance after the makeup because I looked like a different person and also looked very nice in costume.

Question: A long script for a historical drama might have been very difficult for you. How was it?

▲ Yes, it was very difficult. The director had told me that I did not need to speak my lines with a tone for a traditional history drama since our drama was a fusion historical drama, but I was continuously conscious of the particular voice tone for a historical drama due to my preconception about the historical drama genre. Even though I had gone through a hard time due to my tone of voice when speaking lines, I tried to memorize the whole script since I thought that I should. I heard people’s advice in the beginning saying that I might come to beg for even two hours of sleep in the end due to the stress over memorizing lines, and it actually happened in the end, but I tried my best not to make mistakes coming from not memorizing my lines.

Question: You had shown gradually better acting as the episodes went on in your debut drama, even in the situation where you also had to perform concerts as a member of JYJ.

▲ I had been taken to the hospital twice due to the terribly tight schedule, and that is when I learned that actors were taking great pains to do their jobs. When I had spare time, I had to choose to sleep rather than to eat and actually I could not eat very well due to the stress coming from my anxiety about acting. I ate snacks not to suffer from indigestion, so I ended up losing almost ten kilograms. I should have slept while moving, but I had to memorize the script instead; what was worse, I also had to perform on the stage as a singer. I was in a tight situation, so I could not think about anything else but acting and I came to concentrate more on my script only. Even though many people came to the set, I could not see them because I had to look at the script. At the end of the drama, I really could not find time for participating in the drama shooting, so I put more effort in practicing acting. I had to go out for concerts, so I prepared much more for acting because I thought that I might feel sorry even more for the other actors if I made a mistake during filming. I sometimes heard other actors’ saying “Your acting looked better than before,” but actually I could not afford to enjoy people’s praise at all.

Question: What do you think about acting now that you have done it?

▲ I really enjoyed it. I definitely found it exciting and I felt more desire toward acting. I got a lot of help from actor Kim Kap Soo, who played my father in the drama, by seeing his good acting and taking acting lessons from him. Sometimes, I got goose bumps while acting together with him. He had a powerful force in his acting, and I think that I could present unexpected good acting sometimes thanks to his harmony. I really want to become an actor like Kim Kap Soo and Kim Yoon Seok.

Question: The scene in which you confessed your homosexuality on the street was outstanding. Many people who had seen your tearful acting were surprised a lot.

▲ When we filmed the scene, we really did not have much time for filming. The schedule was so tight that we might not be able to film any scene again even though there was a mistake. Many people were watching the set when we filmed the scene in the folk village located in Yongin, but I thought that I had to film the scene in only one take without any mistake. Fortunately I could film the scene after making only one mistake. I made a mistake because I cried too much. Actually, I felt really great about my tears that were automatically coming from my eyes (laugh). I used to feel curious about actors who can cry while acting on the set with no background music. I had thought, “How can they cry that well, does somebody play sad music for them?” But I found out that I could cry when I was immersed in emotion. After that, I could have a kind of confidence about crying or any scene requiring emotion.

Question: When was the happiest moment for the character Lee Sun Joon and for you as an actor? And what did you agonize about?

▲ I found out later when I looked into the script again after finishing the drama that the happiest moment for Lee Sun Joon was when his father congratulated him for his entrance to Sungkyunkwan. And I felt good while acting, thinking, “I might be able to try to act again from now on.” Also, I felt sorry that I could not play the character Lee Sun Joon -- who had a huge ambition, enough to go down in history -- very well maybe because I was not that good at acting. I should have shown the progress of how the cold character in the beginning became a warm human in the end, but I felt bad because the same character from the beginning seemed to be exposed again in the end due to my inexperienced acting.

Question: The last episode has aroused controversy.

▲ Yes, it is true that it should have been extended by adding more episodes, not to finish the story in a hurry. Personally, I wanted it to avoid the happy ending because many gloomy topics had been developed at the end, so I thought that it would be better if the drama finished with a sad ending. But after I received the script for the last episode, I changed my thought to show something in the last episode. If there were no comical setting in the end, I could have felt something was lacking.

Question: Women in their thirties and forties, who had no idea about Micky Yoochun, have become your fans. What do you think?

▲ I also heard that. I do not know why it had happened (laugh). When I filmed the drama on the set in Yongin, an old woman recognized me as “Lee Sun Joon,” and she was glad to see me. Her family members also told me that she felt excited to see me. Maybe it was because the drama was about a story in the past. Anyway, I really appreciated it.

Question: From when have you wanted to become an actor?

▲ I have wanted to act from the time when I had actively performed as a member of the group Dong Bang Shin Ki after releasing our second album. And I could confirm what I had thought at that time by acting in this drama. I had the thought that actors could become various characters within many different works, so they might be able to express themselves in many ways and come to feel free from restrained feelings, and actually I could release my stress more by acting rather than feeling distressed from acting at this time. I felt good when I played Lee Sun Joon because he was a character who directly pointed out anything wrong from the beginning, which was totally different from me, who usually restrains my feelings until the last moment, when I cannot endure it any more. Action scenes were also very helpful for releasing stress.

Question: Many people have spoken highly of your humble attitude as if you were a completely rookie actor even though you are actually a star singer.

▲ When I went to Japan to advance into the Japanese music industry, I had become a rookie singer again. At that moment, I realized that everybody, whether he or she is popular or not, are all human beings and people should not show off their popularity even though they have gained huge popularity from the public because we are all the same as human beings. In addition, I thought that I should behave as a rookie actor because actually I was.

Question: Lee Sun Joon in the drama agonized about the future of Joseon Dynasty. What do you agonize about?

▲ Actually, I am very much worried about my father who is hospitalized these days due to an illness. I had felt sorry that I could not visit him often while filming the drama. In addition, I want to become a person whom my close friends and people right next to me can respect. I want to be sincerely respected by close people. If I could not take care of people around me enough due to busy schedule up until now, I will take care of them with my true heart from this moment. Then I think that I might become a better person.

SME CEO Kim Young Min's Talked About the Effect of JYJ Separation.

CEO Kim Young Min said "The blow from TVXQ (from the 3 members' departure) isn't that big (on SMs Royalty Income)"

This comes from an article concerning SM's foreign market sales. It is said that from January till June this year, SM earned 28 billion Won (around 25 million Dollars) in foreign market sales, which is 45% of their entire sales. However, as this money is coming in after the subtraction of other costs and income division, this 28 billion Won amount can be seen as almost pure profit.

28 billion Won is an amount not many Koreans can fathom. So where does it all come from? The system that SM works on is one where the profit from foreign markets has a SIX MONTH DELAY (2 quarters) That means that the profit made in the 1st quarter, is transferred to SM in the 3rd quarter.

Why is this important? Well. That means that Kim Young Min's statement is true.

Why? Because a certain Best Selection 2010 album was released in the first quarter of this year that sold over 500,000 copies as well as two singles, each selling 289,412 copies and 228,448 copies respectively. Oh and let's not forget the "TOHOSHINKI VIDEO CLIP COLLECTION-THE ONE-" and TVXQ nonstop-mix Vol. 2 album released in March. And then the complete single collections in June. All of the money from these sales are for Q3~Q4 OF THIS YEAR. That is why SM hasn't 'felt the blow' yet.

So where does some of this 28 billion Won come from you may ask? Well since this refers to Q1 and Q2 of this year, let's backtrack to Q3 and Q4 of last year. "Stand by U" was released, "Colors (Melody and Harmony)/Shelter" was released, part of their 4th Live Tour (including Tokyo Dome) occurred, "4th LIVE TOUR 2009~The Secret Code~FINAL in TOKYO DOME" DVD, and the "東方神起 History in Japan Vol.4" DVD as well as the Mirotic Concert leg in Shanghai.

Do you see the pattern? Why do you think SM and Avex released all those goods in the early half of this year? SM is safe in terms of money until Q4 of this year and Girls' Generation is already over there building up popularity. SM has yet to receive all the profit made FROM TVXQ.

So what are my final words? HEY KIM YOUNG MIN, I GET THAT YOU HATE JYJ, BUT HAVE SOME FORM OF RESPECT FOR THE TWO MEMBERS STILL UNDER YOUR COMPANY.
