JYJ World Wide Concert Performing in Dome "All Set"

JYJ (Jaejoong, Yoochun, Junsu) will be holding their first world wide concert ‘JYJ Worldwide Concert in Seoul’ in Seoul Jamsil Olympic Stadium which would be transformed to a dome with the roof covered.

On the 20th the organizer stated, “JYJ first worldwide concert in Seoul would be covered with a roof to solve the problem about the weather and sound quality which always happen with outdoor performance stages yet at the same time, giving the best stage to the fans in Jamsil Olympic Stadium.”

The stadium would be covered like a dome to maximize the lightning effect as well as the sound quality compared to a open outdoor performance which have these as their weak points.

Despite the cold weather on the day of the event (it’s winter when the concert is going to hold), fans will be able to enjoy the show warmly in the dome.

The dome is being constructed with a new, safer kind of textile fabric (as opposed to traditional steel cables). Jamsil Olympic Stadium is the first domed theater of this magnitude in Korea, even on a global scale few other performance halls have adopted such a unique, lightweight construction method.

C-JeS Entertainment, reports that “No doubt this concert will be the best show ever, featuring the best quality of stage presentation, production, and sound.” The agency goes on to say that it will do its best to “provide audience members with the most unforgettable concert experience of their lives."

The JYJ Worldwide Concert in Seoul will be directed by Jeri Slaughter, a well-known concert producer who has worked with international stars Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez and Christina Aguilera.

Tickets for the concert has been selling fast. At the first-round of pre-sale ticket buying on Interpark website on October 19th, seats were sold out in just 20 minutes. The popularity of the K-pop sensation was proved once again when another batch of 20,000 tickets was also sold out in a second pre-sale ticket buying.

The JYJ Worldwide Concert in Seoul is a two-day event that will be held on November 27th and 28th with a total seating of 100,000 (50,000 for each show).

JYJ World Tour: Los Angeles Showcase Recap + Photos

The third and final stop of the JYJ concert was held in Los Angeles. While an unofficial line stretching nearly an entire block began as early as 9am, the actual event started around 8:30PM. The concert was held at USC’s Galen Center, where Shane Yoon and Arden Cho were MCs. Fans came from as far as China for the last US showcase by JYJ and chanted “JYJ” waving their glow sticks while waiting for the show to begin.
After being introduced by both MCs and a short video, JYJ slowly arose from the stage and began performing “Empty”. As with the other two showcases, they then moved onto “Be The One” and “Be My Girl”. Their singing and dancing easily moved the crowd, causing both excited screaming and awed reverence. After the two songs, there were also short videos of JYJ played on the large screens. The first featured them writing messages to the fans on glass, the second showed the members during rehearsals and preparations for their album.

Following the opening three songs, the MCs returned to begin the Q&A session with the JYJ members.

The interview below is merely a summary and not a complete transcription.
Shane: They hooked me up with this outfit and showed me some dance moves. Next year, are you guys ready for JYJ and SPAM?
Arden: I think Shane’s got a shot. That was pretty good, right? You guys having fun? Let’s give it up for JYJ one more time!
Shane: Man, these clothes are tight! Literally, it’s really tight. I can’t breathe.
Arden: I think Shane needs a diet. Maybe.
Shane: I thought Jaejoong and I were the same size but he’s like-(interrupted by fans). Are you guys calling me fat? (crowd chuckles)
Arden: Alright¸ who’s the biggest JYJ fan here? (crowd screams)
Arden: Well, who’s your favorite JYJ member? (crowd screams)
The MCs call out each name: Yoochun (screams), Jaejoong (screams), Junsu (screams).

“International competition, OK” … JYJ’s Arrival after Overseas Showcase

The three members of JYJ returned to South Korea after finishing their showcase schedule in United States.
JYJ on the 21st at 05:30 am arrived from LA, United States and stepped in Incheon international airport through gate KE 012. The members returned from US showcase tour to commemorate the release of their worldwide debut album ‘The Beginning’.
JYJ held a total 3 showcases in United States. All their performances in New York, Las Vegas, and LA were ended with great success. Originally the showcase would be held as commercial (paid) performance, however due to performance visa denial crisis, JYJ made a bold choice to switch the showcase as free concert in order to keep their promise to fans. In the end, the members still wrapped up successful performance stages. Around 20,000 international fans flocked in the 3 gigs of their global concert.
Not only local Korean fans live abroad who attended the concert but there were also a lot of international fans with blonde hair thus proving the worldwide popularity of the group. In addition, such enthusiastic scene of fans who were not able to grab the tickets yet still flocking the venue area of each concert was captured as well.

JYJ members were spotted walking at the airport arrival hall this morning with bright face. Regardless the long flight they’d experienced, there was no sign of tireness on their expression. Many journalists and fans who greeted them could notice the satisfaction of the showcase that was exposed by the members.
As usual JYJ’s airport fashion distinguished each member’s own personality. Xiah Junsu and Youngwoong Jaejoong wore chic black leather jacket. Meanwhile Micky Yoochun sported brown padding jumper with same color backpack, with such tracksuit appearance his style emphasized comfortable charm.
Meanwhile JYJ will hold 2 days official concert at Jamsil Main Stadium in Seoul on November 27th and 28th.
